Birthday Wishlist

It's Birthday Month up in here and I couldn't be more excited. Birthdays are the best, and this year I'm going to be doing something extra special fun. In my oh so old age, I think I've reached the point where I want fun experiences more than things. But let's be honest, things are pretty fun too. Mostly it's fun to visit all my favorite websites and see what the new trends are, and what I fall in love with; so I put together a list of fun little items I'd love to celebrate my birthday with.

Fun Shoes
Skipping Through the City Flat in Lemon by Bait Footwear - Flat, Faux Leather, Yellow, Tan / Cream, Solid, Daytime Party, Menswear Inspired, Vintage Inspired, 20s, 30s, Colorblocking, Good, Lace Up, Variation, Pastel
Via Modcloth
I've been on such an oxford kick lately. My favorite pair of shoes I own are some Steve Madden oxfords and I think it's time to add some more to my collection. And the mustard yellow will be perfect for spring and summer. I love having a little pop of color on my feet.

Designer Swimming Suit
Via Canyon Beachwear
I love a good swimming suit and I always tend to go for classic vintage styles with my swimming suits. I was recently introduced to Canyon Beachwear and loved a lot of the suits, but as soon as I saw this poka dotted ruched number I knew it had to go on my wish list.

Dainty / Geometric Jewelry
Opal ring, feather ring, Sterling silver ring, stacking ring, midi ring, stackable ring
Children of Flowers via Etsy

via Amazon
I know I'm kind of late to this bandwagon, and I'm usually not one to ask for jewelry ever, but I've totally been digging really minimal, dainty geometric jewelry lately. That ring is so beautiful I'd want to wear it all the time.

Via Modcloth
I love sunglasses. Just like my shoes, I want my sunglasses to be a pop of color, and a statement piece, but I refuse to spend a lot on something that will probably break and or give me a headache. When I saw that these little numbers were 30% off at modcloth, they called my name a little louder.

Via Shop Rouche
This is the first year there's not something I'm dying to ask for, for my birthday, but I feel like every girl needs a beautiful flattering dress in her closet that can be worn pretty much anywhere, and this dress is it. Super cute, can be worn to work, or a nice event, and has an interesting neckline in the back for a little surprise.

My V-Day Wishlist

Valentines Day is coming up shortly this week! Now I'm not a V-Day hater. I get why people don't like the commercialism, and you should celebrate love every day. But I say heck, what's wrong with creating another special day to celebrate with someone you love? So I like it.
This year we're going low key for V-Day. Such is the life of poor returned PC volunteers and students living on one income. We used to go all out for holidays like this. We're learning to be more holiday budget friendly.
But that doesn't mean I can't dream, right?
Here's my list of thing I've been staring at for the past month.
--This skirt from Eshakti. I just love it, and it's nothing like I have, which always means it's a good addition to your closet.
Women S Casual Clothing , Yellow Skirt
Via Eskakti
--This Precious Pearls dress from ModCloth. Isn't this just the perfect dress for a fancy dinner or a Sunday you feel like dressing up a bit extra?
--I can't decide which one of these I want from Lime Ricki. Which do you like better? You gotta help me choose.

--I've been loving this shirt at Ann Taylor Loft for a while. I really want a shirt that has an exposed zipper in the back.
--And lastly, I like to pretend it's spring and therefore I'm dreaming of wearing this skirt, after seeing it's counterpart on ETellsTales. Doesn't it just scream spring?

And what does Hal want for Valentines day? To get good grades. So pray that his test scores come back high!

Things Wanted and things had

You know...weddings are awesome. Well, they're awesome because when you're getting married you have money that you can spend on things you want. It's your wedding day, you need deserve it, right? My sister is getting married in just over two weeks, so I keep talking to her about that. It's your big day, do whatever, and get whatever you want. That's how to truly celebrate, right? All of this is making me think of what pretty things I want...so here are some of them

Alright, now that I'm done wishing for things, I must say my life is pretty darn good. Above are things wanted, below are things had. Things had: an awesome husband who I love and adore. Remember when I said I would try and post more about awesome things that guys do? Well, here is one of them. Today Hal brought in flowers to my work for me. For no reason. AND he walked to my work from the flower shop on a sprained ankle. He sprained his ankle yesterday, sad face. He made me take a picture of it. He kept telling me I had to post it on here. haha. This will be the only time you will ever get a glimpse of bare feet on my blog. Bare feet are my nemesis. I tried to get as little feet in as possible, and because of that, you can't see it very well, but the left one is sprained. And to make up for the feet picture, here is a picture of my flowers he brought me.

What are the odds I can get Hal to buy me one of these things...maybe with the help of my birthday monies ;)
