Aveeno Vox Box

Please tell me all you've heard of Influenster? It's a great website where you get real rewards for reviewing products and sharing things on social media. Kind of like I'm about to share right now.

I recently received a free voxbox from Influenster with Aveeno Positively Radiant Targeted Tone Corrector. While that may be a mouthful to say, I've really enjoyed using it so far.

My sister told me once that people should start using anti aging stuff in their twenties, before they get wrinkles and such to help completely put off the aging process instead of just fighting it. So I always love trying anti-aging or correcting makeup.

The serum of Aveeno is so great, it's super light and a tiny bit goes a really long way. It feels a little bit tingly after I use it so it must be working. Or that's a ploy people to make it feel like it's working. Either way, I dig it.

Lifeway Keifr Review

I was really lucky to qualify for another Influenster program! This one I was excited about, because it was a little different than the voxbox programs. It is called the Lifeway Program. They send you a coupon for a free Lifeway keifr product, and then you go redeem it and review it and tell what you thought.

Well we were at Wal-Mart recently, but were not surprised when they didn't have it. They didn't have any kind of keifr. Influenster created a map so people could find stores that carried Lifeway keifr products. We were lucky and have a Great Earth natural food store close to our house. They carried tons of their products.

 I let Hal choose which one we got. Of course he chose the keifr ice cream. Hal love ice cream, but his stomach does not love ice cream. If you're the kind of lactose intolerant that can eat yogurt because it has cultures in it, then this is the ice cream subsitute for you.

Keifr usually refers to a fermented milk drink that uses keifr grains in any type of milk. That may sound really gross, but honestly, it is pretty similar to yogurt. It's much easier for the body to digest than normal milk, and your body is able to aborb more good nutrients from it. In fact, some people say keifr helps aid lactose digestion. If you're expecing it to be like ice cream, don't. It's not as creamy as ice cream, as it doesn't have cream in it, but that doesn't mean it's not good. It's a lot lighter than ice cream or frozen yogurt, so if you're looking for something kinda creamy and cold, but don't want the heaviness, this is perfect.

As I was getting ready to write this post I was thinking, oh we didn't finish the entire container the other night, I'll eat some more. Oh except when I got to the freezer, I realized someone had eaten it all. I guess it's a good sign that he really liked it.

Funny Friday: Broadway Nails imPRESS

Remember the ridiculous nails I got in my voxbox earlier this month? Well last weekend we decided to have a little fun with them. I put them on my friend's nails. And then we had fun show casing them.

 Can you tell we were playing settlers? No wonder it took like 2 1/2 hours to finish the game, with fun things happening like this.

They didn't last very long. I didn't use the nail cleaner, or the little file they gave because I didn't want to scratch up her nails. But we had a lot of fun with them anyway.

Hal put one of the extra pinkie nails on his pinkie toe. It was absolutely disgusting, so you should thank me for sparing you any pictures.

Spring Fever Vox Box

I was super lucky to get another VoxBox. They're exciting like BirchBoxes because you never know what's going to be in them.


Here's what my box looked like this time.

I got a TastyKake Kandy Bar Kake in smores flavor. I don't notmally like these types of treats, but I tried it and it wasn't bad. Hal on the other hand scarfed this thing up.

Next up I got a set of imPress Nails in a hawaiian and zebra print. Honestly, this is like the worst print they could have sent me. I was excited to try these nails, but with the print, I won't ever wear these nails.

Schwarzkopf Profession Oasis + Dust it matte powder, this was my favorite item of all of my vox box. The powder gives your hair texture and lift, and because it's matte, it doesn't make it look shiny or greasy. Really, it just gives your hair volume while not making it obvious you have product in your hair. I have loved using this on days inbetween hair washings. It brings back the volume to my hair.
Secret Outlast - Completely Clean, I was kind of excited to try this. My Dove deoderant totally leaves white marks if I'm not careful. I didn't mind that it was a gel. It takes like 30 seconds to dry, but then it's fine. My only problem with it was the smell. I hated the smell of the deoderant. It smelled so fake and artificial that I couldn't stand it. The second time I tried wearing it I sprayed perfume on my pits part way through the day because I couldn't stand the smell anymore.
The box was also supposed to contain NYC appelicious lip balm, but it was a big bummer when my box arrived without it.

Influenster Beauty Vox Box

I joined the website Influenster about a month ago after seeing a vox box on a friend's blog. I was super stoked because it's similar to birch box, but it's free! All you have to do is put in a little time reviewing products and posting and answering questions, and sharing things you like on social media. Easy, right? Well, after a couple of weeks on the site and quite a few reviews, I qualified for a beauty Vox Box!

NYV New York Color Individual Eyes Custom Compact
I haven't actually tried this yet, as I don't usually do dark makeup, but I'm excited to try this, you want to know why?

They tell you where to put all of the colors! That's one of the hardest parts for me when using eye shadow, and now they've made it easy.

Kiss Ever Pro Lashes Starter Kit
This kit is awesome. It comes with everything you need. I have this super old pair of lashes that were hard to put on, but the applicator in this kit makes it easy, and you don't get the glue all over your hands, if you're normally messy like me. I'm totally using these for Halloween.

Bath & Body Works Mini Candles - Cider Lane
We actually really needed a candle in the bathroom...there's no fan. We were really excited that this actually smells good! I'm kind of picky about my candles and this one smells really good and it's a good size and discrete in the bathroom.

EBoost:

This is an energy drink similar to 5 hour energy in that it uses vitamins and natural caffeine. Look at the head on it when you first pour it in. Hal said it tasted like a crushed up flinstones vitamin. Caution. Use a full glass of water with it.

Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin:
I've never heard of these before, and I was excited they sent them in a color perfect for my hair. I didn't know if these would work, because I lost so much of my hair, and my thickness in Cambodia and it's just starting to grow back, but these actually worked really well. It took a few tries to get them in well enough to where they would stay for a long time, but they're great. They don't kink your hair in a bun like a hair holder does.

Not Your Mother's Smooth Moves Frizz Control Hair Cream

I was bummed for a second they didn't send me the type for curly hair, but I decided to just give it a go anyway, because switching from wet Cambodia to dry Utah my hair has had a seriously dry frizzy problem. I just ran this through my hair after the shower and it made SUCH a difference. My hair looks way better when I use this. It's not too spendy, so I might have to keep buying this after I run out.

Overall: I was impressed with the products they sent me. They're all things I can easily use, and easily incorporate into my beauty regimen.
