What a Sale: 40% off

Holiday weekends are one of the best times to buy stuff on sale. Almost every store has some sort of sale going on for labor day. So I picked two sales that I like, and the both happen to be 40% off.

First up is Chicwish.
Have you ever heard of them before? Their clothes are so cute. I will say, it does take a while to receive them, and you have to ship them back to China if you want to return, but they reimburse shipping, and their customer service is very responsive.

Right now, they're having a 40% off sale. Almost everything in the store is at least 15% off though, if you find something you love that's not in the 40% off sale. And let me tell you, I'm kind of now obsessed with that jacket.

Next is Gap
Have you guys seen that flare jeans are back in style? The middle school me can't get back on the flare jeans bandwagon, but I can get on the girlfriend jean bandwagon. Comfy lose jeans that aren't frumpy? Yes please. And ladies, if you don't own a gap bra, you should. They are by far my favorite bras I own.

What a Sale - eShakti

I don't shop a ton at eShakti because their site can be a bit overwhelming with all the options, and if you don't get things on sale, they can be expensive.

Well, lucky for you, they're having a big sale, and I looked through and picked some really cute items, in case you're interested.

I have a secret, I love chambray, but I don't actually own any. I love that it just looks kind of effortless with anything from jeans to a dress. And you can wear it with a lot of sleevless dresses for a cute little pop. Here's another cute chambray top on sale. I also love wearing bright colors. Living in a big city, most people don't wear bright colors, but people always comment when I do. And in DC humidity I'm always looking for work shirts that don't require an under shirt, and both of these are perfect.

It's important to know what cuts of clothes fit your body best. You can see the top two dresses are very very similar cuts. I really like clothes that look semi tailored, and have a defined waist. I'm not very curvy so dresses and skirts that have a high waist give the illusion of a better hip to waist ratio - even if you are curvy. I love that last skirt, I may not wear it to work, but it's the perfect summer weekend skirt, light and flowy with cute french bulldogs.

What a Sale

A friend gave me an idea for a direction to take my blog and I thought it would be fun to try it out.

I like to browse for clothes a lot online, and I get a lot of compliments on my clothes; but most of all, I rarely rarely buy anything full price. So she suggested I post about deals I find out, and what I would buy on those deals; in case people are interested.

I love modcloth dresses, but they can be really short. My rule of thumb is 35" for a dress that's long enough to wear to work for a 5'5" person. So the Arm in Charm dress isn't long enough, but it's just so stinking cute I had to include it. And if you're looking for a little something special to wear to an event this summer, the gazebo dress is perfect.
