I finally feel like I'm back! Hal and I have been here in DC for almost a month and I haven't blogged about anything that we've been doing. I went from working two jobs and 50+ hours a week in Utah to having nothing to do all day here and I really lost my motivation with it. But now I've signed on with a few temp agencies and am starting to get some work and get my motivation back. I haven't missed blogging that much, but I have missed reading blogs and the blogging community, so I am so excited to get back to reading about what you all have been up to the last month. And as a thank you for still reading over here. I brought that MAC makeup across the country, so the giveaway is on. Keep your eyes peeled for it soon.
As a little view into what we've been doing in DC I thought I'd share what we did last weekend.
We woke up feeling spontaneous on Saturday. We headed to the farmers market up the street and decided to hit up the beach! I haven't lived this close to the beach since growing up in Portland. We haven't been to the beach since we've been home from Cambodia. People warned us to wait until after labor day, but we were feeling spontaneous!
So we got in the car and headed towards Ocean City, MD. We got there and realized immediately it wasn't the beach town for us. My family usually goes to Neskowin, OR, this tiny tiny blip of a beach town in Oregon and Ocean City is HUGE. We continued driving up the coast and ended up in Rehoboth beach, Deleware. It's a pretty big beach town too, but was more to our liking.
Parking was a nightmare, but we finally found a spot and headed out. The water was warm and we had so much fun just being spontaneous and spending a few hours at the beach.
We had so much fun and will definitely have to hit up the beach again before it gets cold.
