When You Visit Home

Going home for Christmas was my first time ever going home just to visit, and not to live. It was kind of a strange feeling. It was great to not have to work during the holidays and miss out on things. It may have led to excessive shenanigans, but that should always be expected.

It took us 3 days again to drive home from Maryland and it felt so good to get out of the car and see all of the snow. It's just what Maryland was missing. So here's a photo dump of some things I did while home for the holidays.
My brother in law gifted me the perfect red lip for Christmas; love love love it. We also moved out of our apartment that we sublet, and moved Hal into an apartment in his college town.
We may have also taken a spontaneous drive to Durango Colorado to visit an old Peace Corps friend who we hadn't seen in what felt like forever. One of the benefits of not having work - spontaneous trips. Thanks to Hal's brother and family for putting us up for the night. Even though we spent almost as much time driving as we did in town, it was such a fantastic trip.

We spent lots of time with my family and these little stinkers who I would miss to the end of the Earth if it wasn't for them constantly snap chatting me.
It also may have involved a food challenge called "The Deuce" He only need 10 minutes to down that thing.

We had family pictures with Hal's family, and endless fun times with the best lap dog in the world, Scout.
And we took advantage of as much sibling time as possible. Oh, and my family has unusually large mouths. We had to mouth shame the sister that didn't come home for Christmas; it was only right.
