Snow on the trees

Remember when I posted about this tree back in April and about how pretty spring is here in Utah?
Well, here's another example of how pretty utah can be, this one was taken in the fall though...

Well Saturday night I just happened to take a picture of these same two areas in our yard...and well, the scene is a little bit different.

I know that the pictures are kind of hard to see as it was night, and they were just taken with the tiny flash on my phone instead of my camera. The last picture is the one of the pretty wisteria tree. If you can't tell we had a crazy snowstorm here this weekend. It was so windy here for a few days, I was just waiting for the storm to roll in. I heard when it started raining, and then I left to pick up my friend and BAM it was snowing and the ground was already coated. It was so crazy! It snowed pretty much that whole night. We actually got some sun that melted some of it today, but the storm is supposed to continue into tomorrow so I know we're not out of the woods yet.

The craziest part is that I'm loving it. Sometimes I think, who am I? I'm loving this cold snowy weather? What's wrong with me? Well, here in Utah we get a lot of snow so it definitely doesn't feel like the holidays officially until we get some snow. Actually I have a confession to make...this is another 'who am I' moment. I've...I've started listening to Christmas music already. Normally I'm the one that thinks people are crazy, and it's now allowed until after Thanksgiving. But I went to the craft store on Friday and they were playing it, and I was totally into it, and singing along...so I came home and made a Pandora station and listened to it for a few hours...and actually, I'm listening to it right now. I know, I'm crazy! Is it any consolation that I didn't start until less than week before Thanksgiving? And when i talked to Hal he said he had already started listening to it, so I'm not as bad as some crazies.

Isn't the cold weather and snow just so cozy though? It makes Christmas music so hard to resist.

So pretty! Don't worry, I've been listening to Christmas music too! They play it on the radio here in Missouri starting in early November, so we all are already enjoying it :)

Love the tree...in any season! :) And no, you are not crazy by listening to Christmas music. Wish we had stations here that play them already. Nope. Nada. Nothing....I'm so sad. :( So it's my iTunes and I working hard to get me into the spirit. Haha!
At the very latest though this weekend is going to get me into the winter/holiday spirit. I'm sure!
