The Beach

I finally have some time to sit down and blog about the rest of our trip to Oregon. We had so much fun on the beach. We always stay in the same little town right outside of Lincoln City. It was fun to go back with Hal, because it's such a part of my childhood. It is a place that reminds me so much of my mom, so it was really special to be able to share it finally with Hal. I only got one picture of of the beach where we stay, so I am stealing some from my sister. I'm going to break this up into a few posts so it's not mega long.

This post will be our time at the beach, and the next will be our time driving up the coast. We drove from Neskowin up the coast to Seaside and stopped at a bunch of random towns along the way. It ended up being so much fun.

Here are some pictures of our time in Neskowin. We only went to the beach one day there, and it wasn't too warm, and the water was fahreezing. We still had a lot of fun burrying Hal in the sand though, and then payback by burying all of the nephews and nieces that were out there.

After that day at the beach the next day we went into Lincoln City. We had a blast hanging out with the newly married couple and my neice T.

Our last night we had another bonfire and that is my only picture that I got of our time in Neskowin.

Haha, just kidding, I realized I got some pictures of some of the family before we all split up to go home. The Proposal Rock Inn is the only hotel in Neskowin. The old lady that works there said that she recognized our last name from the years we stayed there when I was little. If you ever make it to Neskowin go to the tiny store, the only one in town, and get some Tillamook ice cream. It's great ice cream, but it's even better from this store, it may be just because I grew up getting it there, but it's the best from there.

Do you see those pillows in my hand? I bought them when we had to go to the store before the wedding, but we had to go all the way into Vancouver to find a store, and at the site you had to pay to use their bedding so I bought pillows, but we didn't even end up needing them. I thought I would end up returning them, so I kept them in thei plastic cases. Well, after taking them everywhere with me on the trip so I could return them, we decided to keep them. Dumb sauce.

Bye Neskowin!

Your trip looks like so much fun! I love it in Oregon.
I've been buried in sand once.. It took me forever to wash away all of the sand!

These photos made me happy until I saw your previous post. (Shutter.) I like that striped shirt Hal's wearing.
