Beardos

My hubby did something silly. He decided he was going to grow out his beard all summer long since the school he is going to in the fall doesn't allow facial hair, so he would have to shave it a lot more often than he currently does. This is what he looked like.

And this is the creepy version of what he looked like

So I made a deal with him to shave it off. I won't state the exact terms of the deal, but he was awesome and shaved it off for my sister's wedding. Since Hal gets freakishly tan he needed to shave it off early so the bottom half of his face could tan and look normal by wedding time. He shaved it off in stages.

My cute hubby after no beard and a hair cut

So What to you guys think? Beard or no beard? I personally like him clean shaven, and I also really like him scruffy. Then his short beardy hairs don't scratch my chin. And don't worry, he isn't nudy in that last picture, he just can't stand the hair on his clothes. Wasn't he awesome to shave his beardo even though he wanted to grow it out for the entire summer? I'd say for two and a half months his beard was pretty big.

I head out in just a few hours for Portland, I'm so excited. I'll try and take some awesome pictures so you guys can see my adventures.

I'm going somewhere

Next week...I'm outta here! That reminded me of Aladdin, I don't know why. I've spent my morning trying to work on my dumb work computer that got a nasty virus and deleted a bunch of stuff. Luckily it's hooked to a server and you know, we only lost things like...an activated windows system. Dumb. Why virus people why? Did you think I was going to fall for the fake virus protection one again? I didn't fall for it the first time. suckas. Well, I guess I'm the real sucker because is took me a long time to be able to do anything on the computer, let alone blog. Thank goodness for internet phones where I can look up solutions since it wouldn't let me get on the internet.

This week has been really crazy. People are on vacation and people had emergencies so I have kind of been doing the work of a couple of people. Man...I need a vacation. Oh wait, did I mention vacation? Holy yes! Remember when I said that my sister was getting married? Well, it's next weekend. I'm pretty stoked. She's only been waiting like mmm 7 years for this.

So I'm heading out of town for her wedding and then a quick beach trip. I'm kinda bummed actually, I fly out a day before Hal does. It will be our very first night spent away from each other since we got married, almost 2 years. At least I'll be staying with my sister and my friend is flying out with me so I'll have people to stay up super late giggling with.

Wanna guess where we're going? I'll post some pictures and see if you can guess.

Alright, I guess that last one kind of gave it away, huh? I'm going to Portland! I'm going to the beach. Even though the Oregon coast is pretty much always slightly cold, I'm still so excited because it's better than the no beach that we don't have here. Are you guys excited for me? If you've been to Portland feel free to give me suggestions of awesome things to do and awesome places to eat. We were watching a show about yummy breakfast places and they did two from Portland, so I think we're going to hit up one of them on the way out of the airport. Here I come Tin Shed or Helsers!

I want a puppy

I miss having a puppy around. Oh and in case you're wondering all dogs are puppies to me. Even Hal's family's 16 year old golden retriever.  My family dog died a few months back and I miss having a silly happy dog around. Hal and I keep talking about how we want a dog. Our cat does pretty well with dogs, she was very friendly with our family dog, even if she hates other cats.

So, we've decided what kind of dog we want. It's a good mix between my family dog and Hal's family dog. and they're supposed to be great dogs. Anyone want to buy me one? eh? Oh well, we couldn't really have a dog right now anyway. We're barely home enough to give our cat attention. How about this? Someone want to buy me a house so the dog could have room to play and then maybe we'd be home more often. No takers? Weird.

This is the kind of puppy I want. It's a Bernese Mountain Dog. They're tri-colored like my family puppy, and they're just cute to boot. Oh man, we'd have to start brushing it pretty much everyday though!

Things Wanted and things had

You know...weddings are awesome. Well, they're awesome because when you're getting married you have money that you can spend on things you want. It's your wedding day, you need deserve it, right? My sister is getting married in just over two weeks, so I keep talking to her about that. It's your big day, do whatever, and get whatever you want. That's how to truly celebrate, right? All of this is making me think of what pretty things I want...so here are some of them

Alright, now that I'm done wishing for things, I must say my life is pretty darn good. Above are things wanted, below are things had. Things had: an awesome husband who I love and adore. Remember when I said I would try and post more about awesome things that guys do? Well, here is one of them. Today Hal brought in flowers to my work for me. For no reason. AND he walked to my work from the flower shop on a sprained ankle. He sprained his ankle yesterday, sad face. He made me take a picture of it. He kept telling me I had to post it on here. haha. This will be the only time you will ever get a glimpse of bare feet on my blog. Bare feet are my nemesis. I tried to get as little feet in as possible, and because of that, you can't see it very well, but the left one is sprained. And to make up for the feet picture, here is a picture of my flowers he brought me.

What are the odds I can get Hal to buy me one of these things...maybe with the help of my birthday monies ;)
