Dear You

Man, I have been really bad a blogging this month. I guess that's what happens when you're hardly ever home. I asked Hal to bring me my laptop yesterday so I could make a post while I was at play practice, but he was like busy doing something productive or some such nonsense. So what if you're signing up to take the Spanish test at the U and an English test at SLCC so you can get your associates like right now instead of next year like we thought....I need my laptop. See, this is why being productive never pays off. If he had just sat at home yesterday he totally could have brought me my laptop.

Alright, I'm done fake complaining. Without further ado...Dear You!

Dear April,
Bipolar much? Wouldn't it be funny if it snowed on the first and the last day of April? Wouldn't it? Oh wait...it totally snowed the first two days of April and it's the second to last day of the month and it's like a blizzard outside. Remember earlier this week when it was warm and the trees and flowers were blooming? I would say do you just like to rain on our parade...but you're worse than that, because you like to snow on our parade. Did you not get the memo that Selma declared no more snow for anyone. Well, in case you didn't...I just told you. Whatever happened to April showers? It doesn't snow in the shower. That would be weird. It rains in the shower. I'm down for rain. So, dear April...please just rain.

Dear Autism Walk,
I hope that this goes well. I had to run to yesterday and apparently there is still junk in my lungs from when I was sick, so that didn't work out very well. Please be easy. Guess that's what I get for not practicing for it at all. I walked around my house...does that count as practice? Either way, see you Saturday.

Dear Erin's Promise,
I am so excited that you are opening on Friday. It's going to be awesome! I'm glad things finally came together for both cast's dress rehearsals. There are two casts, so if you go on Friday and Saturday it will be like seeing a different play because there are totally different people in it. Also, thanks for letting me be awesome and on the poster. Yeah, go check out the website, I'm totally on the poster. My sister came into town to take pictures for everything and one of the girls was sick and they had to do it that day so I had to fill in. Maybe people will look at the picture and be like, where is that awesome girl who was pointing on the poster and be disappointed that I'm not actually in it.

Dear Weekend,
You're sure going to be busy, but I'm stoked to go wedding dress shopping with my sister! Woo woo! My sister is getting married in July and has had a hard time finding a dress that she feels covered enough in in Portland, so we're going to try going shopping while she is here for opening weekend.

Dear Kitty Cat,
Thanks for being so warm and snuggly. Especially when it's freezing and snowing. Thanks for being awesome and letting us tie a bow around your neck, and thanks for leaving it on for a few days, because it was really cute.

Dear computer,
Could you magically appear in front of me? I have so many awesome pictures to post, like one of my kitty with her bow, but I can't do it without you. Thanks for having an SD reader because I'm pretty sure I have no idea where my camera cord is.

Dear someone,
You wanna make a new blog background for me? I couldn't really find what I was looking for so I gave up on editing my blog until then. I was going to make one, but I'm too lazy busy do it myself.

Dear The End,
haha.

Survivor Cook Island

It's funny how when you're away from the computer for a few days in a row it seems like you have missed out on so much somehow. I've been sick this last week and haven't been on the internet for quite a while and all sorts of things happen, people getting engaged, having parties, and silly status updates, and I was so slow to get the news. Doesn't it make you feel so out of the loop, even when you're only gone for 4 or 5 days?

I'll pretend it was because I was off vacationing somewhere awesome instead of getting awesomely toned abs from coughing non stop for a week. Lets hope those abs so up soon due to my hard work. I'll consider it my preparation for the Autism Walk since I haven't been doing anything for it yet. Maybe I'll get around to it next week, since you know, I have a whole two weeks left.

On another note I will share this awesome video with you. We were talking about it the other day and it reminded me how awesomely funny it is. Who doesn't love a little racial stereotyping? Oh...probably lots of people, but watch it anyway, because it's hilarious.

I have an awesome video that I took this weekend to post, but they take so long to upload and I've been kind of busy helping out with Erin's Promise...It opens next weekend! I'm so stoked, you all should go see it. It opens in Nephi, if that's too far don't worry, we are going kind of all over the state, so if Pocotello, Provo, or even Logan are closer to you don't worry, we'll be coming there too.

The Boy In The Striped Pajamas

Last night Hal and I watched The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. This movie was amazing. I had never even heard of it before. I loved it. I love most WWII anything though. For some weird reason I am obsessed with 40s vintage style things. And I happen to be really interested in WWII also. Hal said that the mother in it reminded him of me. He said she was pretty and she dressed in the 40s which I love. Not because she has a meltdown... Well, I guess I would have a melt down too if I were her.

Isn't she pretty? I wish I could have some of her clothes from this movie. I want to dress my little boys like the boy in this movie. People just dressed better back then. But I guess that would mean I would have to wear a dress or a skirt all of the time. Sigh, I would totally be worth it.

Can someone please teach me how to do 40s style hair?

You should go watch it, go Netflix it, it's worth it. It's one of the best movies I have seen in a while. It made me tear up, and I don't cry at movies.

Maybe one day we can have a 40s style party and everyone can dress up as amazing as they did back then. It's funny, I was totally jealous of this photo shoot and then we watched this movie, and it made me even more jealous. Maybe I'll have to plan a vintage photo shoot for myself one of these days.

In other news. It got up to 60 last week. I was so stoked. It snowed last night. And it's supposed to snow more tonight. This is a cruel game you're playing, mother nature.

Mother Nature

Can you guess when this were taken? Maybe like the middle of winter? January, December even? Actually, while most the world is experiencing this...
Via

We are experiencing this
Can you believe that I took this on the way out of the house this morning, on my way to work? Umm, mother nature, we need to have a talk. It's April 6th and you have snowed most of April. What the heck, is this like an extended April Fools joke? Well guess what? I don't like April Fools jokes very much.

Especially when Hal called and told me he totaled his car. Oh, maybe because it had snowed that day too. He said someone hit him on his way to work, totaled his car and asked if I could come get him. After telling him that I could call my work and tell them I was going to be late I could come get him and take him to work. haha, April Fools. Oh yeah, that's not funny. Yeah, after a second I think he understood that that wasn't funny. Especially to someone who takes a long time to wake up and become fully functional in the mornings and didn't even realize what day it was yet. What do you expect, you called me at like 8:00 in the morning. Now if it was 8:00 at night I could have called him on his bs, but mornings are not my friend.

So, in conclusion. Mother Nature, I'm going to need you to get your act together. Don't misunderstand me, I really like a cool Spring and lot and I love love the rain more than anything, but when it's April and it snows more than it has in a long time I'm not too happy. Weird. Please Mother Nature, please just stick to rain. My feet have been too cold for far too long.

Colorado

Hey guys! I hope you all had a lovely Easter yesterday. Mine was pretty low key, but awesome at the same time because we got cake eggs. My mom used to always buy us cake eggs, and have our names put on them. In Utah the last few years they stopped selling them, and only sell the marshmellow eggs which are ick. Safeway still sells them, so when we were in Colorado (since there isn't a safeway in Utah) Safeway was nice enough to special make the for us and Hal and I brought home a bunch for my siblings. I couldn't find a picture of what cake eggs looked like online so you could see what I was talking about. I would take a picture of the one we have left, but it was damaged on the plane, so it isn't so pretty. So I found something that looks kind of similar to them. Man, these are seriously Easter to me. And they're one of the most delicious treats ever. Perhaps since my sister has to send me my birthday present sometime soon maybe she should send me some of these as well. HINT HINT

We had such a blast in Colorado. The only pictures we got of the entire time we were there were of us at the ZOO in Colorado Springs. It's a cool zoo that is on the mountain side. For real, the whole thing was uphill because it was literally built on the mountain. The zoo was really cool because they let you get a lot closer to the animals than most zoos. Seriously, we were like 2 feet from the hippos who cuddled up and fell asleep next to each other.

The best part of the zoo? They let you feed the giraffes! Can you believe it? It was so cool. We bought a bunch of crackers and fed them. I would have stayed there and done that all day if they had let me. Look closely, or click on the pictures to make them bigger, and you will see some serious giraffe tongues. We ended up getting giraffe saliva on us each time we fed them. Hal kept trying to pet them on the face, for some weird reason they didn't like it. I swear, he has to harass everything around him.

In the hippo area there was this big fatty fat toad. It was cool because you could look through it. I was looking in it when some random little girl came up in front of me and started asking me a billion questions about it until her mom came and dragged her away. What a random little friendly girl.
I'm sad that we didn't have more pictures, but we had so much fun. My sister and her husband bought a fire pit while we were there and we had ourselves a little bonfire, it was really fun.
Has anyone ever played the deal or no deal game at an arcade before? Holy cow, we went to this place called Mr. Biggs and that is what we spent the majority of the time doing. I totally won like over 300 tickets in one round, it was awesome. I could have gotten a little cheap helicopter thingie, but instead hal had to buy a million bouncy balls and throw them out the window while we were driving around to see where they would go.
