Painful

So, I always thought the tetanus shot was bad until I received my second Gardasil shot and my arm was so sore. Yesterday trumped all of that.

Apparently some people have a nerve that runs across the top of their mouth...apparently I do. On Monday I had some dental work done, and we discovered this as they were working, but I was pretty numb so when they had to numb the roof of my mouth it wasn't too bad, just a little stinging. Yesterday on the other hand, they went ahead and numbed it in case it effected the tooth next to the one the previously numbed. Oh my goodness gracious, that was the most painful shot I have ever had. They had to numb it in a bunch of places on the roof of my mouth this time. On Monday I had slept through the un-numbing process, but last night I was sitting in institute class as I was become un-numb...and it killed, even through Tylenol.

So the moral of the story is...feel bad for me, and I hope you do not have that nerve.

Uh-oh

It's it...the travel bug has hit me. I just found myself looking at deals online for New York.

I want to go back so badly, we had so much fun while we were there.

We have gone out of town every month since we have been married...except, this month...so far.

I guess this doesn't work very well with Hal and I not spending money this month because we had to pay for school.

But that doesn't mean I can't dream and research where I want to go when we do save up enough to go....

Every New Beginning Comes From Some Other Beginnings End

This week was my last first day of school and Hal's first day of school. Kind of funny, huh?

It will be weird to be graduated. Almost everything big I have done I have done it with someone else. It's probably the first big thing I have done on my own...not that so many people haven't helped me along the way. I'll be the first college graduate in my family. Kind of scary, but exciting. Soon I'll be as Hal describes, his "suga' mam." Silly boy, but you gotta love him. Well, I do anyway.

Dane's Birthday

I had to post these pictures because an event like this deserves to be posted about. I must say that boys are hilarious, and even though my sisters and I may do weird things, this is totally a boy thing.
A nice little family celebrating Dane's 17th with his chocolatey chocolate cake ala costco
Matilda! Have you ever seen Matilda? Remember the part where the kid has to eat the whole cake or go in the chokey?

Yes, that is my husband's face on the back of his head about to push his face into the cake.
Why not give Dane a chocoalte Fohawk?

And yes, that is a fully lit candle on his head.
Why would you want to celebrate your birthday any other way?

Catsup

Apparently I have been bad at blogging lately, but such is life. Hal and I were given a digital camera for Christmas so I actually have something to add to my posts. We had a fantastic holiday season. It was so nice to have Hal be a part of my holiday traditions, and it was so nice to be a part of his.It was great to spend so much time with our family and all of the family from out of town. I wish it could be like that all year, but then I probably wouldn't appreciate it as much. It has been so nice to catch up on things since school has been out. Alas, it starts up again on Monday and Hal and I are both going to school this semester so life is about to become a whole lot more crazy...

Our first Christmas tree, which we never bought an angel for.
The purse that Hal bought me.

I was so excited to give this to Hal, and was very glad that he liked it so much. Christmas at my dad's house...I had to test out the new camera...
