Graduation

Alright, so I know I said the next post would be about the trip on the last post...well, I lied.

I have decided to walk. I know this is very last minute, but for those of you how could possible get off work and want to attend here are the details of graduation.

I am just walking for my college's graduation which starts at 11:15 on May 8th in the Huntsman Center on the University of Utah's campus. If you want directions I can give you some, or trax gets off right by the huntsman center. The website says that all seating is open to people except the obvious seats reserved for students. I believe I will be in section C row 1-8 with the rest of the Anthropology crowd.

Here is the website for my college's graduation if you want to take a look at it: http://www.csbs.utah.edu/graduation.html

I just wanted to post this to let people know who's e-mails I don't have so they know they are invited as well!

So my next post will be about the trip, no promises though.

New Apartment

Hal and I moved at the beginning of April. We loved our old apartment and still miss it, but our new one is so nice and we get to save money, which is always good. We moved back up to B-town and it's nice being close to our family again. Dane was so nice to help us put together our apartment which ended up saving us. Here are some pictures of our cute little downtown apartment, and the bottom one is of our new apartment, the first morning when Hal and our landlord were cleaning up the flooding!

Yeah, that's right, I said flooding. A hose from the water softener came out of the drain and came out of the bathroom and flooded part of the bedroom and living room. Talk about LAME to wake up to at 6:30 the first morning in your new apartment. Once we get it all put together i'll post some of our new apartment.

Next up: great news for my graduation trip!

Colorado

As we are getting prepared for another trip...really just planning it out I finally decided to post about our spring break trip to Colorado. Hal and I went with my dad and my little brother josh to see my sister Amy and her husband Terry. We had a blast while we were there and did a bunch of fun stuff. Here is Terry looking like a macho cop before we went 4-wheeling

Amy will kill me, but I thought this picture was so funny

Hal and I on our 4-wheeler with dirty faces...they get much dirtier as you can see in the next pic

Here is the group minus Hal after 4-wheeling in Salida

Here is the group minus Josh after 4-wheeling. We got so dirty! but it was so much fun!
Here is Hal on Terry's mini bike. They got oil all over the place...

Have you ever heard of Vegemite? Well, you need to run out and try it right away! Amy and Terry had just returned from Australia when we saw them and they made us try this. Apparently down there they put it on everything. It is made from yeast extract and tastes just like it...

We had so much fun...next post: we moved!

OCD

I saw myself today...I saw my future on the trax train

I was riding back from school today and a woman made her way through a very crowded train to sit next to a boy. She sat there for a moment and then turned to him and asked if she could remove the sticker from the back of his shirt. She said that she was OCD and she was twitching at the thought of it being there from across the train so she had made her way over to him. Luckily for her the seat next to him opened up...

Listening to her I saw my future if I let my OCDs get worse with age.

I laughed to myself listening to her and then I realized wait a minute...that could totally be me, except for the fact I don't like to talk to strangers. But I guess when you are OCD you do what needs to be done to meet your OCD standards.

Now I feel like reading a David Sedaris book and laughing at his OCD with touching the back of people's heads.

I have a bunch of posts to make...so hopefully I have time to make them this week. Look forward to pictures!
