Dressola

Good news! I went and picked up my wedding dress on Saturday! It was great. Monica's old boss still is the manager there and she has been so awesome. She gave me my $140 veil for free! How great is that? So far she has given me all of my jewelry, my dress bag, and my veil for free, that's like a $250 value. Do I sound like an infomercial for allyses or what? They steamed my dress for me and we looked it over at heather's house away from Hal's sneeky eyes and it looked perfect. I'm very excited to have it, even if it is staying at heather's house for a little while.

We are going to the fabric store tonight to look at fabric so hopefully we can find something that we like.

I'm on the lookout for red shoes. I have gone looking a bunch of times, but I haven't found the perfect red shoes. So if you see any, let me know. We are also looking for awesomely awesome dress shoes for Hal.

Oh and for anyone out of town reading this I think my bridal shower that my sisters are throwing is going to be Sept 10th, it is a Wednesday. So let us know if you can or can't make it. I understand that it is a little earlier than a lot of people will be coming in, but such is life, eh?

Fateful Night

So I thought it would be a funny little touch to add to this. This is a picture of the night that Hal and I met.


This is what we call Breaking in the RM. He had been home for 16 days at this point. Good times much? Don't you just love his face?

Colorado pictures

So I said that I would post the pictures from colorado, so I thought since I have been down sick that I would finally get around to it.

After we went horseback riding they told us about colorado days...I think that's what it was called. Hal and Terry rode the bull, how awesome is that!?

New Date

After much deliberation Hal and I have a new date. We are getting married on September 20th. The temple is already booked for 12:20. I am sure someone will enjoy our 11:40 time for the 11th as that is a popular date.

And yay the photographer that is amazing is open that day. We are sitting down with him tomorrow to book him.

Party town

Here are some pictures from my birthday party in which I received some sweet presents.


This is a wedding planning book I got from heather and brittany. I think that's who gave it to me. You can tell Hal was super excited about that one.


Here is the dress that hal gave me. You can't see it too well but it has eyeleted poka dots. I am very excited for it.

So now the photographer and the reception center are booked for the 11th. So Hal and I might be changing the date. I figure if nothing is really working out for that day then possibly we aren't supposed to get married that day. So we shall talk about it, pray about it, and possibly find a new day that works.

Sad times

So we were looking at this cool mansion in Bountiful as a possible option, and it was a great deal, and we could house family there too...but alas, I just got an e-mail back from them and it is rented out for the rest of the year. Lame. So again we are on the quest for a reception center. Perhaps we can just do the church and not worry about it. I guess we'll see.

Oh! and I have a dress for my bridal luncheon courtesy of Hal for my birthday! Yay, I love the dress and it is so perfect. Good Deal.
